FAQ's
What makes Jazzercise different?
The music! The moves! The FUN! Jazzercise combines elements of Jazz dance, Pilates, yoga, hip-hop and more to bring you a safe, effective workout. A wide variety of music - Top 40, hip-hop, oldies, jazz, country, etc. - keep things fun and interesting.
Can I keep up?
Yes! Jazzercise is designed for each student to work at her/his own pace. Instructors show options to tone things down, pump things up, low impact, etc. If you have special concerns, please speak with your instructor for specific modifications.
How much does a class cost?
Please view our pricing options here.
How often should I exercise?
If you are new to exercise, begin with 2-3 classes a week and gradually add classes. To increase your fitness level, work out 4-5 times per week.
May I bring drinks and food to a class?
We recommend Jazzercisers bring a non-breakable water bottle with a lid to class. Prevent accidents and spillage by keeping drinks out of the way of other Jazzercisers. No food or gum, please.
Do I need weights?
Weights are optional for new customers. We recommend you familiarize yourself with the basic exercises and techniques before using light (3-5lb.) weights.
Do I need special clothes or equipment?
Any loose, comfortable clothes are fine. Most people wear bike shorts or jazz pants and a bra top or T-shirt. Bring along a towel or exercise mat for the floor work. Good, rubber-soled aerobic shoes are recommended.
Do I need an exercise mat?
Yes you will need a mat. We have a few carpet squares available but recommend bringing your own exercise mat with you.
